The Cougar Den

We're thrilled to support the continued growth and success of the TK/K garden, affectionately known as the "Cougar Den."

The Cougar Den is a fantastic source of enrichment and education for our TK/K students. Led by Katie West, with help of Lauren Komarczyk and support from the Cobblestone PTC, countless parent and family volunteers, as well as contributions from Home Depot, Tractor Supply, and Hasties, the garden came to fruition last spring!

Bi-Annual Plantings for TK/K Students

We are currently collaborating with the TK/K teachers to plan what the students will plant this fall, considering options like leafy greens, root vegetables, and herbs. In the spring, we plan to give each TK/K student an individual flower pot—likely with a sunflower—that they can take home at the end of the school year.

We need your help!

With the help of parent volunteers, students visited the garden weekly to water plants, monitor their flowers, sniff herbs, count tomatoes, and explore the tactile wonders of the Touch Garden. They even had the chance to taste some of the herbs! Going to the garden quickly became a favorite activity for our students.

The TK/K garden is a labor of love, and its continued success depends on the dedication of parent volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, please fill out the survey below.

We look forward to working alongside our TK/K families in the garden!
